Winning Start Winnebago is a community-wide commitment to give every child a winning start.
With the upcoming launch of Family Connects International, the Winnebago County Health Department will be able to provide home visits for all Winnebago County families after birth. This will allow WCHD to centralize services for families for seamless connection under one name – Winning Start Winnebago.
Connecting Families To Services
Winning Start Winnebago connects families who are planning a pregnancy, currently pregnant, or parenting a new baby with free home visiting services and resources to support healthy pregnancies, child development, and family bonding — giving each baby a winning start.
Get Connected To Services Including:Â
- Prenatal health education and support
- Doula services for guidance before, during, and after birth
- One-on-one nurse visits to monitor your health and your baby’s health
- Nutritional guidance and community resources
How It Works

- We’ll connect you with personalized support and local programs that fit your families needs.

Programs Connected Through Winning Start Winnebago
All maternal and child health programs coordinated through the Winnebago County Health Department — including igrow, Better Birth Outcomes (BBO), APORS (Adverse Pregnancy Outcomes Reporting System), Family Connects International, and WIC — are connected through Winning Start Winnebago as the central point of access for families.
