The Opioid Overdose epidemic is impacting both men and women, all races, and adults of nearly all ages. There are resources available to help reduce opioid misuse and prevent opioid overdose deaths.

When given in time, naloxone, a non-addictive drug, can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose and save a life.

Every home should have naloxone. The Winnebago County Health Department offers free naloxone to the community. Individuals and organizations can get naloxone at WCHD – 555 N Court St. Rockford, IL 61103. Ask a staff member or ask for WINNIE
